STRUCSIM-3-D® allows the simulation and can quickly replace for verification a complex structure equipped with 8 excitation channels. STRUCSIM-3-D supplies the response of 64 transducers in displacement, velocity or acceleration.
STRUCSIM-3-D® has 8 natural frequencies with different modal behaviours. The modal characteristics are perfectly known and enable you to validate your measurement chains and software by comparison with both the requested and measured results.
The transfer function enabling the link between the outputs and the inputs can be compared, electrically speaking, with the transfer function of a vibration analysis equipment, excitation and measurement instrumentation applied to a linear mechanical structure.
The simulation is carried out on a scale-model of a glider with the following dimensions : span : 2,50 m, length : 1,80 m, height from the basis of the central fuselage to the top of the tail : 0,60 m. The 47 nodal points defining this structure in the space are supposed to represent the chaining of a decomposition into finite elements. Movement transducers and vibration exciters are set up on these nodal points. At the users choice, the movements can be measured either in displacement, in velocity or in acceleration.
Actually, electronic circuits receive electric signals representing the applied forces and they produce other electric signals simulating the movements. The circuits are located in a 19 rack.
This structure is supposed to have been analysed using a discretisation method in finite elements. The location of the 47 nodal points of the decomposition in finite elements appears in the drawing and the position of each nodal point in space is given in the "COORDINATES FILE".
The "PATH FILE" defines the segments enabling the connection between the points in order to draft the structure under study or to visualise it on the screen.
